Janna Coomans is a PhD Candidate at the School for Historical Studies, University of Amsterdam. Her four-year research project "Public Health in the Late Medieval Urban Low Countries” (start Semptember 2013) investigates the practices of various agents to promote communal health and sanitation in the material context of premodern urban space.
